Using Will Power to help Maggie’s and support people with cancer

Gloucestershire’s premier law firm Tayntons has teamed up with charity Maggie’s Cheltenham, to raise awareness of the benefits of leaving legacies to charities in your Will.

Maggie’s provides access to cancer support, advice, and respite on a drop-in basis for as long as that person may need, with no appointment or referral necessary, to people in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, and Worcestershire. Maggie’s rely on donations from the public to help them continue their good work, so Tayntons has created a legacy leaflet explaining how leaving money to a charity in your Will can benefit everyone.

Laura Roberts, Wills, Trusts & Estates Solicitor of Tayntons said, “Gifts in your Will to UK registered charities are 100% inheritance tax-free and will be paid out of your estate before any tax is calculated so it may mean that your legacy could eliminate or reduce your estate’s tax burden as well as providing much-needed funds for good causes in your community”.

Tayntons Solicitors have also kindly agreed to donate 10% of the cost of every Will prepared by their legal team back to Maggie’s for every new client who mentions “MAGGIE10” at the point of instructing them.
