The employment team at Tayntons helped a client who had been offered a Settlement Agreement by his employer to leave the business. Our client was a senior executive of the company. The Company were looking to make personnel changes at the top of the Company and were seeking to make our client redundant.
Our team advised that he had a strong case for Unfair Dismissal on the basis that there was not a genuine redundancy situation. We were able to obtain a settlement worth over £60,000 to our client and a reduction in the restrictive covenants contained in our client’s Contract of Employment from 12 months to 3 months to enable our client to continue in the industry that he had worked in for over 15 years.
