Joanne Thompson qualified as a Solicitor in 1994 and joined Tayntons shortly after in 1997 .
Jo has a degree in English and Related Literature from the University of York and completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Law Society Finals (Legal Practice Course) at the University of Wolverhampton.
Since joining Tayntons Jo has specialised in all aspects of personal injury work, including; accidents at work, road traffic accidents as well as slip and trip accidents, Jo is an expert in her field. She became a Partner in 2011.
With over 24 years of experience, Jo acts for a variety of clients that have suffered injuries as a result of an accident or illness dealing with consequences such as serious head injury, spinal injury, fractures and soft tissue injuries, like whiplash and back strains. Jo also specialises in the psychological consequences of an accident, including post traumatic stress disorder, phobic reactions and anxieties.
Jo also has substantial experience in clinical negligence claims and is a member of Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) member.
Jo is involved in developing and mentoring junior members of staff which is a role that she greatly enjoys. She gains immense satisfaction from helping and guiding clients through the claims process, and in achieving compensation awards for the injuries and losses they have suffered.
