Kate Shields joined the Personal Injury Department at Tayntons in 2015 and has over 7 years experience dealing with all types of personal injury accident claims including; road traffic accidents, accidents at work, public and product liability and medical negligence. Kate advises parents of children and young people with special educational needs in relation to appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST) and school admission appeals, exclusions from school and disability discrimination claims.
Kate studied Law at the University of South Wales and graduated in 2011. She qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2019 and in 2020 she joined the Education department. Kate is very approachable and is always happy to go out of her way to ensure that her clients fully understand the litigation process.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time outdoors with her young family and a spot of reading (when she gets the chance!).
