Jim Cook qualified as a Solicitor in 1974 after studying Law at the College of Law in Guildford and Chester.
Jim started as a Family Lawyer and worked in different law firms before heading his own firm, James Cook Solicitors. James Cook Solicitors merged with Tayntons in 2010 and Jim joined as a Partner.
With over twenty years of experience in helping first-time buyers with the purchase of new build properties and working with an extensive range of developers including; Barratt, Charles Church, Lioncourt Homes, Persimmon and Redrow.
Jim specialises in the handling of affordable and shared ownership schemes and government schemes, designed to encourage first-time buyers on to the market. We have regular dealings with many shared ownership schemes including; Bromford, Curo, Fortis, Gloucester City Homes, Guinness, Help to Buy South, Help to Buy South West, Severn Vale and Sovereign. He also assists developers with the purchase of land and the sale of new build properties.
