Divorce, family and children
Our society is extremely diverse and complex, and so too are our personal and family relationships. You may be embarking on a life-changing decision from sharing a home with your partner or having children to dealing with a broken relationship. When such instances occur personal and financial arrangements often require guidance from a legal perspective, and that is where Tayntons comes in.
No one enters a relationship with the anticipation that it will break down over time. But if you would like to safeguard your assets then a prenuptial agreement is the right legal way to do so. Think of it as peace of mind, enabling you to plan in advance in a practical and independent manner, and in the interests of both parties. A prenuptial agreement will help to limit some elements of distress and acrimony should your relationship breakdown in the future.
Whether you are married or not, separations can be devastating for those involved as well as creating complex financial situations. If there are children involved then the situation can become all the more difficult, and can also be a legal minefield. At Tayntons we are aware of the emotional stress and upsetting nature of a relationship breakdown, which is why we are here to guide you through the legal process. Dealing with finances, property, business ownership and even residence requires legal advice. We offer specialist legal support and guidance as well as a listening ear. All of our solicitors are members of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers who subscribe to non-confrontational approaches to resolving relationship issues. We want what you want; a mutually amicable agreement. If this is not possible then our highly-experienced team of solicitors are adept at dealing with relationship disputes through the court system.
