Martin joined Tayntons in 1987 and was a partner in the firm until the end of 2008. Martin is now a consultant to the practice. His legal work involves him in a broad range of civil litigation claims including personal injury, inheritance cases, land and property disputes. He has a special interest in professional negligence and is a member of the Law Society’s accredited personal injury panel.

With extensive experience in litigation, Martin has a clear insight into the legal system which gives clients a realistic understanding of the way in which a court will approach a case, the process and the costs likely to be involved.

Recent case of interest

"I recently helped an elderly client who faced losing her home, which had been sold without her knowledge. The case involved forged signatures; remortgage and ‘sale and rent back’ companies, debt collectors and a police investigation. After detailed research and submissions, we were eventually able to persuade the Land Registry that the original transaction had been a fraud and ownership of the house was restored to her.” Martin Edden
