Tayntons LLP Solicitors Team Success at Bristol's 10km Race

Four members of Tayntons LLP Solicitors, Gloucester, took part in yesterday's Bristol 10km race. Chris Price, LLP Partner and Head of Family was joined by Helen Duthie and Liz Lacey, family solicitors and Receptionist, Lucy Overthrow who sported bright blue Tayntons LLP T-shirts.

Over 11,200 runners took part in the race. The route started and finished in Bristol’s historic Harbourside. The scenic, sea-level route took runners along the Harbourside, out and back along the Portway, through the stunning Avon Gorge, and passed twice under Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Chris who has taken part in a few 10km races managed a personal best of just over 58 minutes waited to cheer on the other team members as they made it over the finish line in 1 hour 7 minutes (Lucy), 1 hour 9 minutes (Liz) and 1 hour 18 minutes (Helen). This was a first for all three girls who had not run this distance before. "I loved every minute, I ran my best yet" said Lucy who is currently on maternity leave following the birth of her second son last October. Helen and Liz who only took up running 8 months ago trained together twice a week after work.

It was nice to be part of a team, we saw lots of other local solicitors with their firm's t-shirts on too, it was a great atmosphere"  said Chris.

The team are planning to run the Gloucester 10km this coming October when they will perhaps even be joined by Managing Partner Andrew Ollerenshaw who has recently taken up running.
