For the third year in a row, Tayntons LLP solicitors turned university lecturers for the morning on Monday 10th October by guest speaking at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham. Helen Duthie and Elizabeth Lacey both of Tayntons Family Law department, who have presented to the undergraduate Business Studies students each year since 2009 were also joined by Ian Pettifer, Head of Employment, presenting to over 100 undergraduate Business Studies students.
The solicitors spoke to the students about the importance of regulation within businesses and the factors they must consider when going into business. Ian Pettifer gave an overview of the employment law issues which all businesses need to consider.
Business Studies Course leader, Penny Adshead welcomed the solicitors back to the university and encouraged the students to make use of the questions and answers session at the end of the lecture.
Associate solicitor Helen Duthie commented 'We have very much enjoyed our involvement with the university in recent years, it is great to have links with such an important Gloucestershire establishment and for them to call on us to help out. We hope that we can do a lot more with the university students in future."
