Two of the city’s oldest establishments are joining forces once more, as leading Gloucester law firm Tayntons has signed up to sponsor Gloucester Rugby 2011/12 season ticket. The practice, with offices on Clarence Street, is sponsoring the package for the third season running, as part of an ongoing commitment as a business to invest in the local community.
The season ticket package will offer great benefits including a loyalty discount and great prices for junior season ticket holders. This year the package boasts three Heineken Cup pool matches against Toulouse, Harlequins and Connacht Rugby, as well as 11 matches of Aviva Premiership Rugby and two LV=Cup pool matches.
Andrew Ollerenshaw, Managing Partner at Tayntons, says: “As a Gloucest er business we wanted to find something in the city that we could lend our support too, that we felt would benefit as many members of the community as possible. There is great pride and passion surrounding the club, and as an organisation they have worked hard to really engage with supporters, including expanding their youth programme and encouraging junior membership with their ‘Gloucester Crew’ offering.
“We also liked the idea of lending support to an organisation like our own which has been a proud part of the city’s landscape for over a century. As a practice Tayntons opened for business in Gloucester back in 1857, with Gloucester Rugby officially forming only a few
years later in 1873.”
Pete Grzonka, head of sales and marketing at Gloucester Rugby welcomes Tayntons support, “We’re delighted that Tayntons are continuing to back Gloucester Rugby for a third consecutive season. Both organisations are rooted at the heart of the city and we are grateful for their ongoing support.”
Quoted in the new 2011-12 season ticket package, Gloucester Rugby Coach Bryan Redpath explains why having a season ticket for the forthcoming season could prove so worthwhile, “Next season we are potentially going to get one of the big clubs from France and the big clubs from Ireland coming to Kingsholm to play Heineken Cup Rugby, which is huge for the club and I think everyone should look forward to that.”
Andrew Ollerenshaw concludes, “We are looking forward to another great year of successful rugby, with new opportunities like the Heineken Cup offering the chance to watch even more exciting and entertaining world class sport. From one Gloucester team to another, we will be cheering them all the way!”
