Leading Gloucestershire law firm Tayntons LLP has promoted litigation expert Joanne Thompson to partner. Joanne is head of litigation at the firm and leads its 20-strong personal injury department, which is one of the largest specialist teams in Gloucestershire.
Joanne qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and joined Tayntons in 1997 to specialise in personal injury (PI) work. She became an associate in 1999 and today heads up the 20-strong team of solicitors, legal executives and support staff in the personal injury team.
Acting for thousands of local clients in Gloucestershire as well as clients across the UK who have suffered injuries as a result of accident or illness, Tayntons’ expert personal injury team enjoys a strong reputation on the back of its quality service and long-standing contracts. Joanne’s team has won tens of thousands of compensation claims over the last decade and retrieved millions of pounds of compensation on behalf of claimants.

Joanne is based in Tayntons’ Clarence Street office in Gloucester. She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and regularly provides training on new claims process and liability issues. Tayntons LLP is a member of MASS, the national association of solicitors representing the victims of road traffic accidents, and has taken part in training sessions for Gloucestershire Police.
